About the awarding organization
Év Háza (House of the Year) is one of the most prestigious architecture awards in Hungary, organized under the professional patronage of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects and the Hungarian Association of Building Artists. The competition highlights excellence in both residential and public building design, and is made possible through the support of leading construction industry manufacturers who sponsor special recognition awards.

The selection process
In the 2023 competition, a record-breaking 71 buildings were submitted—32 public buildings, 25 family homes, and 14 residential complexes—for evaluation. A distinguished professional jury received these entries and selected winners across core categories, including family house and public building. Beyond the main awards, the jury independently determined five support special prizes, including the **Hella Support Special Prize. **
